ABOUT:
Cassandra's family always was a strange mix, she was raised by a single mother alongside her older brother - all muggles. Her mother had been married before she was born, to a man that Cassie never knew. Cassie herself is the product of a brief affair her mom had when she first got her job as a nurse at the local hospital, though the whole things a lot of question marks for Cassie. All she's had is her mother and her brother, and she never really wanted anything more until later on. Things were a bit hectic, always, but Cassie learned to roll with it - helping her brother fix dinner for them and listening intently to all of her mother's stories of her rounds at the hospital. Nothing too exciting. If you'd asked Cassie at the ripe old age of five if she thought that she was a witch she would've stared them down in utter confusion and denied it, maybe laughed. Maybe both. No, she had been steadfastly intrigued by her mother's stories and tending to the minor injuries of all of the other kids that lived on their street, though at the time she was still prone to run screaming from anything too serious - broken bones had been just a touch too frightening.

The invitation to Ilvermorny that had arrived by owl on her window sill the morning of her eleventh birthday. Still, she had learned well enough to just roll with the punches so she managed to navigate the whole magical world rather well, if it was a bit stilted at first.

By the time she had graduated healing had seemed like a natural fit for her, given how enamored she'd become with her own mother's medical career over the years. So, alongside her training at the local magical hospital she elected to take some basic muggle medical classes; enough to use alongside her magic but not enough that she'd have a career in the muggle world as she did in the magical world. Still, it was more than enough for Cassie all things considered.

A deep sense of nostalgia ended up drawing her back to Ilvermorny once she was deemed to be a full Healer, and she took up the role as an apprentice to the matron of the school's hospital wing, and eventually taking the roll over entirely.


LIKES:
+ Ice Cream - after a long day of dealing with all of the bumps, bruises, and petty disagreements of the students settling down with a carton of ice cream is a rather nice way to relax.
+ Heights - getting up as high into the clouds as she can, usually by climbing (which she tends to be a bit of a daredevil in) or hiking, and most easily just finding the tallest tower at the school and staring out into the sky.
+ Helping the students - as tedious as the little disagreements can be, she does enjoy helping out the children; even more so when they express any sort of interest in the art of healing. she did pick this occupation for a reason, even if there are times that she regrets picking a school to work in.
+ Figuring out a puzzle - be it an actual, physical puzzle or just one of the medical variety, she likes being able to toil and figure things out for herself.
+ Watching/Reading Romances - they've always been interesting since she was a child subjected to her mother's television choices, most of which very clearly stuck.


DISLIKES:
- Pranksters - as much as she appreciates the appeal of general mischief, cassie won't stand any students sending their fellow classmates to her hospital wing; and certainly not with any lasting damage.
- Flying - heights aren't any sort of a problem for cassie but the unsteadiness of flying and the unpredictability of the wind makes her wary of the whole thing, not to mention the amount of quidditch injuries that she has to deal with each year.
- The cold - as much as she likes her ice cream actually being cold isn't anything cassie's interesting. she'd much rather bundle up in warm sweaters and sit next to the fire.
- Dealing with paper work - as much as she appreciates the necessity, especially in a school, she'd much rather just get down to the healing instead.
- Getting up early - more or less of a necessity given where she works, but that doesn't mean that she isn't entitled to being grumpy and snarky when she rolls out of bed too early.


STRENGTHS:
+ Ripping into students for their stupid stunts, giving people a dressing down if she has to.
+ Steadfast - in things that she believes in you're going to have to be consistently throwing books full of contradictory information at her to get cassie to change her mind.
+ Creative - she might not be particularly good at it but cassie does quite enjoying painting in her down time.
+ Patient - be it taking the time to learn something, or for the correct circumstances to align and allow her to use them to her advantage.
+ Straightforward - if you're doing something that irritates her, or she has something to say, don't count on her holding onto it for too long.


WEAKNESSES:
- Irritable - mostly when she's first to get up early, or has to deal with things that she sees as a bit too matter of fact for someone to be asking her about
- Romance - the idea is something she is utterly in love with, even if that might not match up with reality, especially any sort of storybook qualities that she can imagine into it.
- Naive - maybe not in healing, but certainly in some of her ideals.
- Doesn't know when to give up - be it not giving up on new healing methods are her own daydreams, and it can certainly lead to trouble and even leave her ending up embarrassing herself.
- Clumsy - she tends to trip over her own feet and spends a tedious amount of time picking up thing's she has dropped, how she hasn't fallen off a cliff yet she sometimes questions.
