ABOUT: Lucas was the second child born to a British Quidditch Player and a librarian, and he arrived on Christmas Day (a fact no one outside of his family knows) in Canada, which is where his mother was from and where his father was currently playing.. Unfortunately his mother passed away during the childbirth process. His father and older brother (who was three years older) never let him live that down and blamed him for her death. His father was the one who started with the beatings, and his older brother followed suit when he was big enough to understand. Lucas spent his whole childhood living in fear. Reading was the only thing that helped him escape at home, finding little nooks they couldn't find him to get away.

When Lucas was 5, his father retired from playing the sport and took a coaching position in the UK. The family moved over there, and got used to living in the new country. Occasionally his father would bring the two boys to practice to keep an eye on them while he was coaching. It was there that Lucas' love of the sport was really born. It was the captain of the team who brought him up for his first broom ride, and would do it every time the boys were there at the end of practice. Lucas loved the thrill of being up on a broom.

Eventually it was time for Lucas to follow his brother's footsteps and head to Hogwarts. Instead of a Slytherin, like his brother and most of his father's family, Lucas was sorted into Ravenclaw. It gave him a reprive from his brother, and a safe spot to hide. True to his nature he excelled in class, always wanting to learn more, and usually had his nose in a book while he had free time. The only exception was when he had the chance to be a reserve for the Ravenclaw quidditch team in Year 2, and made it in year 3 as a starter. That annoyed his brother to no end, as he hadn't inherited any of the quidditch skill their father had had. The torment just grew worse after that. Thankfully after Lucas' 4th year, his brother graduated and went to work for the ministry. It was like a breath of fresh air. The last 3 years at Hogwarts were filled with more of the same, without any of the torment and bullying.

When he graduated he went to play for a professional team in Australia. He played there for 4 years before joining a team in the UK. He returned to the UK just as the rumors that You-Know-Who had returned. Even though he was a pureblood, he was far from a blood purist, and started to help the Order out secretly once his return was official. Unbeknownst to him, his father and brother were helping the other side, with his brother joining the ranks of the death eaters. His father had left the UK while he was in Australia, using his money to buy a team in the US, and so was only helping monetarily. However both Lucas and his brother found out at the Battle of Hogwarts where each stood, as both went to fight even though their father had told them not to. Lucas started his brother right in the face as someone else caused his death by damaging a wall and have pieces fall on him. Lucas made it out of the battle mostly unscathed, but a little shaken up mentally.

When word reached his father, his father was furious. Now his favorite son was dead, and he blamed Lucas for it all even though he hadn't been the cause. Unable to physically torment his son really anymore, he resorted to one thing he could think of, which was managing to acquire Lucas in a trade, and put him under his thumb playing for his team in the US. So he moved to the US and has been fairly miserable about it since. The one bright spot was being approached by the Canadian National team for a tryout and making the team as one of the three chasers.

LIKES
+ Reading - especially mysteries and historical fiction (bonus if it's a historical mystery)
+ Flying - He loves the thrill of being in the air
+ Cold Weather - He is Canadian after all
+ Camping - It's something he picked up during school. He quite enjoys the peace and quiet of nature, and the lack of media.
+ Dogs - He has two.

DISLIKES
- Large Crowds - He is certainly more of a stay off to the side and watch and 
- Abusers - From his background, he knows what it's like to be on the other side of it.
- Blood Purists - He may be a pureblood, but he sees nothing special about that
- Ice-Cream - He doesn't know, he's never really been a fan. Sorbet on the other hand he likes.
- Public Speaking - he does it as it's part of his job, but he hates it.

STRENGTHS
+ Quidditch - He has worked very hard to be where he is at
+ Loyal - He is actually very loyal, and will defend, the people closest to him
+ Magic - he did very well in school
+ Drawing - He often sketches little things here and there
+ Charms - This was one of his best classes at Hogwarts

WEAKNESSES
- Trust - the number of people who really know his life story is one (his father). He has a lot of walls
- Romance - he actually has had very little practice in this area, and he is horrible at picking it up
- He spends way too much time with work stuff and doesn't take a lot of personal time
- His father - he has never been able to stand up to his father
- Abused children - He was in the position. He secretly donates to charities supporting abused children, as he just can't stand the thought of others going through what he went through

ANYTHING ELSE THAT WE SHOULD KNOW?: He is a dual national (Canada and UK), but chooses to play for Canada in part because his mother was Canadian and his father English.
